A. E. Wallace's Posterous

Final thoughts on Postbox

The program is pretty good. The more I looked into it, the more I noticed similarities, but I'd still say it's worth the money in at least 70% of usage scenarios. As a matter of fact, I love clicking the "new post" button on Posterous and have Postbox just open up to its wonderful interface. It really does feel like an extension of what is there. I hope to have the full review up later on The Digital Cheat Sheet (edit: review available), pending a little review. It saddens me that RSS feed support is weak as it is, and that the additional features I cited before were tweaks of already existent features of Thunderbird, but to tell the truth, I just like the Postbox implementation a bit better.  I am amused at the initial cost of the program, and even more amused that the team behind the program have made it relatively easy to get coupons and referrals to make the cost of the program essentially free. It is hard for me to not like this program, but I do have to acknowledge the few flaws I found and the mediocrity it may present to some users....I have hopes that the program will continue to be improved as it has been since its beta testing days.
